Understand the basics of data analysis
This is a no-fluff course with a short introduction to data analysis.
There is a lot to learn in the data analysis field. There are many scattered resources on the web and you feel overwhelmed. I can relate to that.
In this course, I want to help you understand the basics of data analysis and these basics will build the foundation for your later learning.
After completing this course, you will know: history of data analysis, different types of analyses, the analysis process, various tools used for analysis, and be able to do some of the analysis.
Your Instructor
The author of Tableau Data Visualization Cookbook, Dr. Ashutosh R. Nandeshwar is one of the few analytics professionals in the higher education industry who has developed analytical solutions for all stages of the student life cycle (from recruitment to giving). He enjoys speaking to technical and non-technical audiences about the power of data, as well as ranting about data professionals who chase after “interesting” things.
He received his PhD/MS from West Virginia University and his BEng from Nagpur University, all in industrial engineering. Currently, he is leading the data, reporting, and data science efforts at the University of Southern California.
